why we're here

Inspired by Jinky Art and Peter Bryenton, I'm going to have a go at making a Picture of the Day (PoD) each day.

And similarly inspired by The Haiku Year - and prodded by a group of like-minded lovers-of-brevity with whom I have entered into a year-long commitment - there'll be a Haiku of the Day (HoD) as well.

My theory is that there's got to be enough minutes in the day to spare yourself a couple to be consciously (self-consciously?) creative.

So let's see how long this lasts, eh?
